Occupation – Olympic Athlete
Bio: He competed for Great Britain in the 1932 Olympics. In 1930, he won the gold medal in the 220 yards and won the silver medal with the English Relay Team in the 4×110 yards
Sir Leonard Appleyard

Occupation: British Diplomat
Bio: Sir Leonard Appleyard was a British diplomat who served in China, India, and Hungary, holding senior roles, including Ambassador and Deputy Cabinet Secretary. After retirement, he became vice-chairman of Barclays Capital and led the Nuffield Languages Programme. He passed away in 2020.
John Sherwood
Years – 1956-1963
Occupation- Olympic Athlete
Bio: John won a Bronze in the 400m Hurdles at the 1968 Mexico City Olympics, followed by a Silver at the 1969 European Championships and a Gold at the 1970 Commonwealth Games. He also competed in the 1966 and 1974 Commonwealth Games. A regular on BBC’s The Superstars, he placed second in the 1980 World Superstars Final and turned professional to compete in the UK grand final.

Bio: Matthew Leitch – actor, director and producer – was born on March 19, 1975 in London, England and attended Read School during his Senior School years. Known best for Band of Brothers (2001), The Dark Knight (2008) and Sabor tropical (2009).
